This is short post for a very short story. As a designer, I’ve been using Apple Macs now for about 8 years. Now, only now I have discovered that the eject-disc button on every one of my Apple keyboards is NOT broken!?

For years, I have been pressing the eject button to, er, eject my discs - only to constantly see that the button doesn’t work! The other week, I was selling an old Apple G4 keyboard on eBay, and I saw a sticker on it stating “Press AND HOLD eject button to eject disc”. Hmm…AND HOLD? Well, I feel dumb.

My excuse? Too busy designing stuff to have noticed, lol.
