How Sqwink can meet your needs...

Sqwink is a revolutionary online service which enables you to obtain your design requirements efficiently, speedily and hassle-free. Unlike most other online design services, Sqwink achieves this by streamlining the design process utilising the following methods:

Firstly, you can communicate your requirements directly via this site by completing a Job Form (located in the downloads section).

Secondly, your initial, intermediary and even final designs can be viewed and proofed online, which saves valuable time and effort. You don't have to wait for the post anymore!

Finally, payment can also be made at sqwink.com with any major debit or credit card (cheques, Banker's Drafts and BACS [UK] also accepted).

The Sqwink Design Process...

This section demonstrates how the Sqwink Design Process 'works'. Below, there is an example of this process, whereby the client requires a Corporate Identity to be designed by Sqwink:

What is The Package Prologue?

The Package Prologue is a document that the client receives outlining important information such as the nature of the works to be done and time schedule. When the client receives these documents - there is NO OBLIGATION OR COMMITMENT TO SQWINK BY THE CLIENT until the contract is signed and received by Sqwink.

There is also a copy of the contract which needs to be signed. The client can then physically sign the contract and post it back to Sqwink - or choose to sign it online via EchoSign. Using this, more efficient method, the client simply clicks on a link in an email from Sqwink. The contract can then be viewed online by the client - typing in his or her Name and Initials to Digitally Sign and agree to the contract. Click on the logo to the right for more information on EchoSign.

The Package Prologue is complete with information on any estimated costs (if the project is not costed at a Set Price). Additionally, the Allotted Time Schedule is a part of the document which outlines when the project is due to start and finish, stating when payments are due.

Online Proofing & Approval...

When any Design or Illustration is ready to be viewed, or reviewed by the client, the Proof will be uploaded to the 'Proof Viewer'. This is a powerful tool that is used by by the client to view the proofs that Sqwink have designed. You will be provided a password via email to login to the Proof Viewer.

Located on the menu at the base of the screen is the 'Proof Viewer' Button Link. This will take you the page where you are required to Login Securely with an Access Code and Password you have received.

Once the client has logged in, the proof is on-screen ready to be viewed. Here, the client can zoom in and out - and even Review the proof with special tools, such as a Markup-Pen. The client can also add text boxes to the page - used to communicate to Sqwink if an aspect of the design needs to be amended or deleted, for example. When changes are made, the client simply clicks on a 'Complete/Return Review' button located at the top of the page. There is more information and a tutorial on how to mark up a Proof once the client is logged into the Proof Viewer.

The Proof Viewer can be used for any print design - from a single poster to a 16-page booklet, for example. Once the client approves a design after revision sessions, the work can then be 'signed off' by another button within the viewer. Finally, when the design work is both approved and paid for, the client shall receive their work in the post, including printed hard-copy proofs and on CD.

Printing - who, what, where & when?

When the clients' designs are finished and ready for print - who overseas the printing? Well, this is the client's choice. The client may want to handle this as to search for the best printing quote, or is already affiliated with a print bureaux. Also, the client may not want the designs printing straight away. Alternately, the client may want Sqwink to handle the printing.

Varied print methods are available utilising different machinery - such as a Digital Press and a Litho Press. Sqwink will recommend which method is more suitable. For example, an A3 colour poster could be printed Digitally, but an 8 page booklet may be printed on a litho offset press.

If the client chose Sqwink to handle the print, a Print Bureaux/House would be used in the UK. Design works would then be posted out to the client's destination country - although there are some exceptions. There would be more details on this in the Package Prologue received by the client.

If Sqwink is chosen to handle the printing by the client, the client will be invoiced directly by the Print Bureaux.
